Toffee

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon karo
  • 3 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Microwave 1 minute.
  2. Add sugar and microwave 4 minutes.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon Karo, 3 tablespoons water, microwave 9 minutes (stirring in between).
  4. Must use a very heavy glass microwave dish.
  5. This recipe was made using an 1100 watt microwave (may need slight adjustment based on yours).
  6. Pour onto buttered cookie sheet.
  7. Sprinkle with 1 cup chopped pecans or 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips and let melt.
  8. Spread and add little finely chopped pecans.
  9. Let chill in fridge, then break into pieces and store in airtight container.
