Ingredients
- 1 cup of milk scalded and cooled
- 1/4 cup of shortening
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup warm water with the following:
- 1 Tbsp. of sugar
- 1 pkg. of yeast
- 1 egg
- approx. 5-6 cups of flour
- 1 tsp. salt
Instructions
- Mix milk, shortening, and 1/4 cup of sugar. Let cool.
- Add yeast mixture. Stir enough flour so it is not runny.
- Add egg and salt.
- Add the rest of the flour. Let raise, then shape into rolls.
- Let raise again.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Be sure to knead the dough before you put it into a greased bowl to raise.
