Oven Smothered Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. round steak
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut steak into serving pieces; mix garlic powder, salt, and pepper in flour mixture until coated.
  2. Brown steak in oil until crispy.
  3. Place steak in 9x13 inch baking dish, cover with soup.
  4. Drain most of the oil from skillet, add flour to make gravy.
  5. Pour gravy over steak.
  6. Cover with foil and cook for 1 hour at 400 degrees.
  7. Serve over rice or noodles.
