Ingredients
- 1 cup of sugar creamed with lard
- 5-6 cups of flour
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup warm water with the following: 1 Tbsp. of sugar, 1 pkg. of yeast
- 1 cup of milk scalded and cooled
- 1/4 cup of shortening
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp. of salt
Instructions
- Mix milk, shortening, and 1/4 cup of sugar. Let cool.
- Add yeast mixture. Stir enough flour so it's not runny.
- Add egg and mix.
- Add the rest of the flour. Let raise, then shape into rolls.
- Let raise again.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
- Be sure to knead the dough before putting it into a greased bowl to raise.
