Ingredients
- 3 cups liquid (1/2 milk & 1/2 water)
- 3 Tbsp shortening
- 3 cups sugar (scant)
- 3 eggs well beaten
- 6 cups of flour
Instructions
- Warm 2 1/2 cups of the liquid with shortening, sugar, and eggs.
- Use the rest of the warmed liquid (1/2 cup) to dissolve 2 pkgs of yeast.
- Cool the mixture before you add the yeast.
- Add approximately 2 Tbsp of salt to the flour and mix enough liquid mixture to make dough.
- Mix thoroughly and let rise.
- Bake at 350-400 degrees. This makes a big batch.
