German Chocolate Cheesecake

Ingredients

  • 1 package German Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 16 oz margarine
  • 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup shredded coconut
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix dry cake mix, coconut, margarine, and 1 egg. Press into bottom of ungreased 9x12-inch pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese with remaining 2 eggs, vanilla, and sugar until smooth. Pour over cake mix in pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes. Let cake cool.
  5. Refrigerate at least 8 hours; the longer the better.
