Ingredients
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/2 stick of butter or margarine (melted)
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 gallon of popped corn (lightly salted)
Instructions
- Use a two-quart pan.
- Mix sugar, water, butter, and cream of tartar well.
- Cook over medium heat until syrup becomes light brown.
- Do not stir while cooking (takes about twenty minutes).
- Remove from heat, add soda, and beat quickly (mixture will swell).
- Pour over popcorn, mix well.
- Let it harden.
- Can also be made into balls.
